Il Paradiso Inclinato at Ex Dogana

Il Paradiso Inclinato creates a collision between past and present, ultimately giving shape to an ideal of eternity caught within contemporary  instants.
The exhibition curated by Luca Tomio and inaugurated by Achille Bonito Oliva establishes a dialogue between renowned Italian artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Luigi Ontani, Mario Schifano, Piero Pizzi Cannella and newcomers like Duskmann, Alessandro Giannì, Matteo Nasini, Leonardo Petrucci, and Luigi Puxeddu. The concept of transition and exchange is one of the key elements of the showcase, which also influenced the choice of the Ex Dogana as the exhibition venue, originally an old station for goods trains recently converted into a cultural center. The melting pot of different creative languages and clashing styles breaths new life into the Roman contemporary art scene, bringing back the vibrant atmosphere of the city during the 60’s and 70’s. With whimsical threads, il Paradiso Inclinato connects several generations of artists, schools and styles gathered together to sketch the future.
