Barebones by Stephanie Lou

Perfect beauty is paradoxically caused by just the right kind of imperfection.

Photographer Stephanie Lou captures Sasha in a bare setting filled with industrial vibes. Sleek and minimalist garments by Y Project, Nehera, Y’s Yohji Yamamoto, Lemaire and Vetements add to the rustic atmosphere a contemporary twist, while expressing an ideal of quite and understated elegance. Rich textures and nuanced earthy tones evoke the rough architectural elements of the space: rust and crushed velvet, wool and white distressed walls, grey linen and concrete floors are in perfect harmony. Like a Modigliani painting, Sasha performs a bittersweet mix of loneliness, mystery and serenity, accompanied by a quirky cool attitude that perfectly matches with the underground appeal of the clothing. An ethereal glow garners her skin as each feature is met with the mutiny of desire.
