Introducing Hyssop Fall / Winter 2018

Hyssop is an up and coming Chinese brand debuting those days at Shanghai Fashion Week FW18 edition.

Brainshild of multi-talented and visionary designer Sun Yun, the brand gathers together influences from Europe and Asia to express an new form of intellectual elegance. Sun works with a team of skilled creatives from East and West that are constantly up to date with contemporary tendences in clothing design, experimenting with patterns and materials in order to create the perfect combination of Western sophistication and Eastern utilitarian playfulness. The aesthetics of the brand is a true ode to minimalism, embodied in simple and relaxed cuts, a tamed color palette and comfortable fabrics sourced between China and Japan. For the next winter, Hyssop faces the frosty weather with a wardrobe that’s equal parts cozy and elegant. Elements of workwear and power dressing meet oversized sweaters and coats that offer the perfect coocoon against the cold winds. Heritage patterns such as the classic tartan gain new edge when paired with accessories and finishings in PVC. The neutral color palette allow pieces to layer well together with great versatility. Details such as wooden buttons shaped like tree trunks emphasizes the brand’s connection to nature and its appreciation of organic forms. Hyssop embodies a new understanding of clothing which has so far lacked in Chinese fashion, as it appeals to modern and independent women that look for timeless and beautiful garments. In this context, Hyssop fashion enhances the individual’s personality because of its simplicity, as the wearer can style the pieces in many different ways and express his very own aesthetics rather than imposed seasonal trends.
