Julius Spring Summer 2017 Collection [ Knives ; ]

Melodic chaos wrapped in white fog.

Tasturo Horikawa of Julius put all his creative energy in staging a unique performance to present his Spring / Summer 2017 collection. Inspired by by the music of techno/dark-wave pioner Regis and his Downwards Records, the Japanese designer imbued into the clothing the same darkly stylish appeal, and fearless experimentation that characterize the music label. Like music for the Downwards Records, fashion is for Tatsuro more than a simple business, it represents an escape from the mundanity, and an outlet for the realization of his own singular vision. The performance that opened the show featured Downwards Records artists Kerridge and Autumns, who played wrapped in cold white fog within the beautiful historic Parisian building, La Générale. French photographer Gautier Pellegrin translated the unique atmosphere of the event into a series of pictures exclusively shot for Le Paradox.
