Nehera – Fall / Winter 2016 – 2017

Faded forms. Trembling silhouettes appear within the milky morning dusk.

Samuel Drira of Nehera imagines shapes that are defined and blurred at once. Fluidity inspires a quest for a kind of subtle yet powerful beauty. Conceived as wearable luggages, the outerwear pieces are functional and versatile; they seem to be designed for a trip on the Orient Express, with peplum tunics and handkerchief layered underneath. Natural hues such as beiges and tobacco suggest deserted landscapes of sand and rocks, where shadows stretches loosely on the ground in the sunset light. The superfluous is edited away, in order to appreciate every single detail without being overwhelmed. Wrapped in softly tailored suits and cooconing proportions, Nehera‘s muse has a vintage appeal, like those timelessy chic women you see in old photographs. Season after season, Samuel Drira promotes an ideal of understated elegance, timelessy chic yet never obvious.
