Thom Browne – Spring /Summer 2016

Once again, Thom Browne gave us the unexpected twist always admired at every show. This time he took us on a moody trip to Gothic Japan full of slow paced geisha’s in elaborate kimonos and a subtle reference of Keanu Reeves in Matrix. Clean yet refined tailored suits were embroidered to resemble traditional minka houses which slowly transformed into bamboo forests. Although we were presented suits in shades of gray, the clothing was brought to life by the immaculate tailoring as pinstriped three piece suits were dressed down in shrinked pants hemmed at the ankle while accompanied by wooden geta sandals flourishing the Thom Browne logo. Less is always more in this instance as although Browne gave us an exquisite show, we were still infatuated with the less than normal amount of looks presented to us.
